So well dressed

We left Monterosso to get to Milan.

Took the train to La Spezia where we had, many months ago, arranged our train to Milan.

Spent an hour at La Spezia

Love a good railway track ashtray

So we got on the train and off we went. First stop... Monterosso! Super.

A two hour journey to get back to where we started from.

Milan train station is beautiful. It's huge, clean and like a giant cathedral.

The city is big, a bit grey and cosmopolitan. The dress standard is exceptional. It's levels above anywhere else we have been. So many well dressed girls and guys. Even the janitors look like they getvaround in Zegna.

We took all of this in .... and decided to do some washing........at where else but the self aggrandisimg "Wash Planet" where most of the machines don't work and have detergent receptacles so crudded up that no more powder can get in.

Saw these on the way to dinner. 3D paintings. Cool or not ... I like them but, like a Woody Allen bully, am mollified by shiny objects.

Clothes laundered and tummies full, tomorrow we head to Lauterbrunnen. All pretty ready to leave Italy.

We may not be able to dress up like the natives of Milan but we are going to have dress well nonetheless - in just about everything we have... Look at the forecast!!

Enough.
