Dec 15 2019 - Jan 24 2020

Time to leave

Fly to Sydney for a night then on to NYC

NYC here we come

Mon 16

We arrive
Can with right wing talkback - Trump is an innocent darling
Bags in to 266 Bowery

Wholefoods across the street for dinner (yummy soup, pizza slices), basic supplies and a few weird things on the shelf

Late night stroll in the cold

Tues 17

Anna - so exciting
Coffee from Bluelane on spring street.

Exchanging Zoe’s birthday backpack at the Fjallraven store on Elizabeth street.   Where is our old apartment?

T Mobile for US numbers.  Unlimited calls and dat for $30.  Nice. Ree not getting her questions clearly answered by the happy T Mobile guy!

MOMA - so much to see. Coat check line was “quite long”.  We were in aisle E for pickup.
So much to see and catch up on
Anna remains Anna.

All are drawn to different artworks. Van Gogh - he’s OK.  Some guy called money dabbed paint and made water flowers. A cool chessboard.

A painting of only blue and a strange “triple point pendulum” construction that appealed particularly to Drew.

We ate at the stalls in the underground near Columbus circle.  Girl next to us had a lil box with a guinea pig inside.  Ok.

Next - brave the rain and cold to Columbus circle markets.   Yummy hot apple cider!

Trump tower is across the road

Dinner - Mediterranean takeout at  Anna , Bob, Maddy the actress, Aiden with the bluest of eyes and most earnest of expressions and Lena the scaredy dog.

Park slope - love the F train.

Wed 18

Lets go to the Zoo

Central Park zoo

No more Polar bear
Same old seals

Oshaaaa Baby......snow leopard on a warmed rock - stretching and arching like a lil domestic tabby.  3 years old. Siblings are in Anchorage. Maybe we will say hi?

Bird enclosure - flappy duck, many more.

Central Park
A stroll through the park on the way to midtown

Let's go and meet up with Marci

Rockefeller Centre

Zoe and Drew to the top

Christmas tree then it started to snow.

Hamilton

Let's get going
no need to fight - we can just all be on time......cant we?

A L E X a,n,d E R we are meant to be, a colony that runs independently meanwhile Britain keeps taxing us relentlessly!
Burr - I’d rather be divisive than indecisive.
Hamilton - so good.  Small cinema. Superb choreography - rewind.  I remember that night, I might remember that night for the rest of my life....Not a dry eye when Eliza screams for son Philip.
Now just to sell out tickets for one months time!

Let's wait out by the stage door.....Zoe?  Where are you hiding?

Times Square - 2020 sign. Jimmy the policeman joking that “no more pictures”.  Drew doing handstands.  Zo at the largest Sephora. Is it really nighttime?
